Nigerian Institute of Production Management (NIPM) is the professional regulatory body of production and operations management founded in 1987 and registered under extant Laws of the Federation in 1998.

Operations management knowledge is broadly applied to all business functions and organizational roles. These include general business operations, public service operations, supply chain and logistics operations, engineering and project operations, transportation operations, banking operations, financial operations, marketing operations etc. Operations management is applicable in diverse field with great prospects.

NIPM is concerned about setting and maintaining industry standards to ensure that organizations attain the highest level of efficiency, quality, safety, productivity, reliability and effectiveness possible in order to maximize value for all the stakeholders.

NIPM conducts educational, certification, training and membership programme and ensures that members subscribe to professional code of ethics.
