NIPM Industrial Visitations and Factory Inspection (IVFI) programmes enable the Institute to evaluate the standards of manufacturing operations vis- a- vis critical areas bordering on specific knowledge gaps and the application of performance tools such as Productivity Improvement Techniques, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, 5S,TQM, cGMP, HACCP, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Health and Environment (SHE), Ergonomics, Logistics, Facility/Plant Design, Equipment Maintenance Strategies, Supply Chain Decisions, Logistical Flow of Materials, Products and Processes etc.
NIPM provides guidance, advice and training on regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, maintainability and sustainability among other solutions to industrial production challenges.
NIPM compliments the role of such Federal Government agencies such as SON, NAFDAC and NESREA while performing its regulatory functions as a professional body that regulates the standards of professional practice of Production and Operations Management nationwide using the IVFI as a preventive/proactive approach to continuous learning and business process improvement.
