Professor ‘Fola Tayo, FNIPM the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of Caleb University is a high calibre, renowned international pharmacy scholar and a highly celebrated and revered pharmacist who joined Nigerian Institute of Production Management – NIPM when he was the Dean, School of Pharmacy, College of Medicine, University of Lagos over two decades ago.

 

He once presented a paper at the Institute’s national conference held in Lagos and published in Production Management Review (PMR) (Vol. 6 No.1 ISSN – 1116 – 3224 January – April 2001 Edition) where he stated inter alia: “I have always seen myself as a production director in the university. As a result, I study the market forces and consumer acceptability of my products and re- engineer the production methods and the lines to suit the purposes of my customers.” He added, “I do know that those who have practice experience teach better than the first class degree holders and doctorate degree holders with little or no cognate experience”.
