Nigerian Institute of Production Management (NIPM) has continued to demonstrate its commitment to providing high-quality professional education and training in the maritime sector. Recently, the Institute concluded training programs for the staff of Josepdam Port Services Limited, Trucks Transit Parks Limited (TTP), Beamco Nigeria Limited, and Blueseas Limited.

The training programs, which were designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of the participants, covered areas such as Arc and Gas Welding Mastery, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Maintenance, Operations Management, Clearing and Forwarding Operations Management and Warehouse Management and Inventory Control. The training was conducted by experienced professionals and was tailored to meet the specific needs of the participants.

According to the management of Josepdam Port Services Limited, the technicians were sent to NIPM for training “in a bid to re-enact the philosophy of building and transforming employees into performers”. The training was aimed at equipping the technicians with the necessary skills and knowledge to improve their performance and contribute to the growth and development of the organization.

The trainees from Josepdam Port Services Limited included Air-conditioning Technicians and Industrial Fitters/Welders, who gained practical knowledge and skills in R&A maintenance and repair, diagnosis and troubleshooting, and welding, fitting, and general maintenance work.

Oriowo Aderonke Opeoluwa from Trucks Transit Parks Limited (TTP) was among the recent NIPM certification awardees, receiving the Certified Operations Management Professional (COMP) Certification from NIPM President, Dr. Olaniyi Opanuga, FNIPM.

Beamco Nigeria Limited and Blueseas Limited also sponsored their staff to attend NIPM training programs, demonstrating their commitment to investing in the development of their employees.
