Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, NIPM Professional Advanced Diploma or HND in any field
  • At least 2 years of work experience in HSE or a related field
  • Completion of an HSE certification program (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHA)

 

Program Duration

The program duration is 12 months (2 semesters).

 

Program Delivery

The program will be delivered online distance learning utilizing self- study, supervised Project papers’ writing, submission and presentation, and assignments or  through a combination of  occasional lectures, project papers’ writing and submission, presentation and assignments, discussions, case studies, and practical exercises.

 

Assessment

Assessment will be based on research projects, coursework including assignments, quizzes and tests to evaluate learning capabilities and skills sets developed around the modules and key knowledge areas and a final project. These count towards the final mark and grading of students.

 

Certification

Upon completion of the program, participants will be awarded a Professional Post Graduate Diploma in Safety, Health and Environmental Management.

Students are required to score minimum 50% in each of the Courses and as aggregate score to achieve a pass.

 

Membership Registration

Upon completion of the program, participants are required to register for the membership of the Nigerian Institute of Production Management- NIPM Nigeria and the Society for Health, Safety and Environmental Management (SOHSEM).

 

Professional membership will provide graduates with access to professional development opportunities, networking events, and industry updates as well continuing professional education, training and development.

Membership Registration is mandatory for all Postgraduate students.

 

Mandatory Graduation

Attendance of Graduation Ceremony and payment of Graduation fee is mandatory on successful completion of the Program.
