NIPM Commends Dangote on Oil Refinery and Fertilizer Plant

The President and Chairman of Council, Nigerian Institute of Production Management (NIPM) Dr. Olaniyi Opanuga has commended Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of Dangote Group on the coming on stream of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals as well as the Dangote Fertilizer Plant in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos, which was commissioned recently by, President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking at a workshop on Supply Chain and Logistics Management the integrated refinery and petrochemical complex. According to Dr. Opanuga is world class, Africa’s biggest and the largest single train refinery in the world. The refinery built at a cost more than $20 billion to provide 4.742 billion litres storage capacity with planned daily output of 650,000 barrels as well as the fertilizer plant which cost 2.5 billion with planned annual output of 3 million metric tons of urea are huge investments that promise to create massive job opportunities, foreign exchange earnings, boost the nation’s energy and food production capacity as well as GDP growth.
