Dr. Olaniyi Opanuga, FNIPM, CPSCOMP is the President /Chairman of Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Production Management (NIPM). He succeeded Mr. Adebowale Thompson, FNIPM a chartered chemist and former Managing Director, Berger Paints Nigeria Plc.

Mr. Thompson succeeded Engr. A Deen Adekoya, FNIPM, former Technical Director, Chemical and Allied Products (now CAP Plc). NIPM was founded in 1987 and registered by the Federal Government in 1998 under the  Companies And Allied Matters Act (CAMA). NIPM has individual and corporate members across industrial/economic sectors nationwide. NIPM is the leading professional authority and regulatory body for production and operations management practice in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. NIPM has promoted the training and professional development of thousands of Nigerians over the years. The Institute has also helped to improve productivity, safety quality, costs, capacity utilization, and sustainability in organizations.
