PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES & PRACTICE COURSE (CODE 059)

INTRODUCTION

The Course code 059 is in the Industrial Production & Operations Management Training Category specified for Production Managers/Officers/Supervisors, Technicians and Team Leaders to introduce them to basic production management principles and practice as the cornerstone in developing skills for effective performance of production supervision and management roles at the lower level of operations management.

OVERVIEW OF THE COURSE

This course is conducted at 4 levels of 20 modules to build foundational 1 and 2, intermediate and advanced professional knowledge, skills and competencies for improved performance. Trainees on this programme will not be able to complete the entire module at once but will require continuous training for at least 2 training events. This helps learning reinforcement and continuous development. Foundational 1 & 2 is completed in this synopsis. And this forms part of the Certified Production Supervisory Management Professional (CPSMP Certification) Training and Examinations.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

1. To introduce trainees to the concepts and importance of production management
2. To teach the principles of production management and explain relevance to corporate goals and objectives.
3. To discuss how production processes are aimed at creating value, customer satisfaction, profitability, growth, and sustainability.
4. To share knowledge of production management ethics.
5. To develop basic production management skills.
