The Society for Certified Procurement Management Professionals (SCPMP) is a pioneering and revolutionary professional body established under the Nigerian Institute of Production Management (NIPM) to promote excellence, innovation and sustainability in procurement management.

SCPMP aims to enhance the skills and competencies of procurement professionals, promote best practices, and foster a community of certified procurement professionals. 

 

SCPMP is a group of professionals who will operate radically to change the popular order where procurement role is seeing as a means of self – enrichment, favouritism and other bad procurement practices.

Pioneering in the sense that Procurement Management will now be practiced not only from the broader view of supply chain management but also within the context of general operations management which is regulated and fostered by NIPM.

Membership Registration

Membership is open to procurement professionals who meet the eligibility criteria. Members will be required to adhere to the SCPMP Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

Grades of Membership

– ● Student Member: Persons pursuing relevant courses in a University, Polytechnic, College of Technology or undergoing training in any institution

– ● Graduate Member: Graduate of any higher institution and possessing a Bachelor’s Degree or HND or NIPM Professional Advanced Diploma or equivalent

– ● Associate Member (ASCPMP): Having the above Graduate qualifications or NIPM Certification (CPP, CPMP, CPM) with not less than 5 years in middle-management or supervisory role

– ● Full Member (MSCPMP): Having not less than 7 years post-graduation experience and must be occupying a managerial position

– ● Doctoral Fellow (Doc. FSCPMP): Possession of Doctoral Degree and occupying a role not below a Senior Lecturer/Consultant in a higher institution

– ● Fellow (FSCPMP): Persons holding a position of authority in private or public sector, not below a CEO, Director or General Manager and have put in not less than 10 years in Senior Management position or 5 years in top management

– ● Honourary Fellow (Hon. FCSPMP): Persons who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the profession, development of the Nigerian Institute of Production Management (NIPM) and the Society; and have been proclaimed as being worthy of honour by the NIPM Governing Council
