Nigerian Institute of Production Management (NIPM) is a duly registered professional body for the regulation of Production and Operations Management in Nigeria. The field covers all industrial sectors from agriculture to mining, energy (electricity, oil and gas), construction to services and job roles from procurement, logistics, manufacturing, quality assurance/quality control (QAQC), project management, facility and plant maintenance, HSE, to general operations management, supply chain management, and others.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

– Student Member: Currently enrolled at NIPM or in a relevant program at a University, Polytechnic or any recognized higher institution.

 

– Graduate Member: Bachelor’s degree or HND holder in a relevant field. NYSC Certificate or evidence of an exemption thereof is required.

 

– Affiliate Member: Persons occupying supervisory or technical specialist position with relevant qualifications and working experience in production, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, operations management or associated area of practice. Other professionals interested in identifying with the Institute and its activities are also eligible.

 

– Associate Member (AMNIPM): Bachelor’s degree or HND, NIPM Professional Advanced Diploma or equivalent in a relevant field + a minimum of 5 years’ experience in middle management or supervisory level.

 

– Full Member (MNIPM): Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or HND or equivalent + 7 years Management experience or Master’s degree + 5 years management experience

 

– Hon. Member: Distinguished individuals contributing to professional development and supporting NIPM activities and programs.

 

– Associate Fellow: Relevant experience and contributions to the profession in academia, industry or public sector in addition to the minimum academic qualifications not below a Master’s Degree and occupying a position not below General Manager or Senior Lecturer

 

– Academic Fellow: Academic qualifications not below a Master’s Degree and holding a position not less than the level of a Professor, Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer and having made contributions through research, teaching and publications.

 

– Fellow (FNIPM): First degree or equivalent with 15 years in middle and senior management, master’s degree + 10 years’ top/senior management experience or PhD + 7 years’ experience in top management or 5 years as CEO, COO or Director of a reputable organization.

 

– Doctoral Fellow: PhD in a relevant field with not less 10 years in Senior Management position.

 

– Life Member: Long-standing contribution to the profession and the Institute.

STEPS TO MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION:

1. Check eligibility and choose a membership category

 

2. Purchase the membership application form (₦20,000). Once payment is made and receipt is provided as evidence of payment you will receive your Form online.

 

3. Fill out the membership application form and submit (online or physically) with 2 passport photos and copies of your credentials and CV.

 

4. Pay registration fees + annual subscription (20% of registration fee). The annual subscription is payable every year to renew your membership.

 

5. Receive membership notification and join a branch

 

6. Receive your Membership Certificate and use appropriate professional letters after your name (e.g, ANIPM, MNIPM, FNIPM)
