Nigerian Institute of Production Management-NIPM is the pioneer and leading production and operations management institution in Nigeria. NIPM conducts professional certification, diploma, advanced diploma, post-graduate diploma (PGD) programmers and provide membership and professional development opportunities for persons who desire excellent performance, upward mobility and exceptional career success in a competitive, global knowledge economy.

Founded in 1987 and registered by the federal government in 1998, the Nigerian Institute of Production Management (NIPM) is the professional regulatory body of all persons involved in production and operations management in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Production and operations management activities take place in manufacturing, agriculture, mining, energy, construction, oil and gas and service industries. If you practice, teach, consult or otherwise engage i3n production and operations management you need to register as a member by passing the required professional examinations or through COPOM certification or exemptions thereof.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY

The grades of membership and entry qualifications are as follows:

• Student:

University, Polytechnic or College of Education (Technical) undergraduates, persons undergoing

Institute’s or COPOM professional certification/diploma programme or operations supervisor,

Factory workers and GCE/WAEC/SSCE/NABTEB certificate holders. Minimum age is 18 years.

• Graduate:

Fresh university/polytechnic graduates (BSc/HND holders) or holders of COPOM or Institute’s Professional Advanced Diploma or person who have passed the NIPM Graduate Membership Examinations.

• Affiliate:

Persons who wish to identify with the profession and who not being less than a supervisor in any reputable organization or production/operations Supervisors, Technicians having organized craft or trade qualifications.

• Associate:

Those who passed the NIPM Associateship Examinations or Possess COPOM/Institute’s Professional Advanced Diploma or BSc/HND with at least 2 years Managerial experience or 5years Senior Supervisory experience in production or operations roles and functions.

• Full Member:

Those who have passed the full membership examinations or possess COPOM/ Institute’s Post Graduate-Diploma or PhD/MSc/MBA with at least 5 years managerial, research, teaching or consulting experience or BSc/HND holder who have put in not less than 7 years in senior/top management.

• Hon. Member:

Affiliate members, entrepreneurs, industrialists and other professionals of repute who hold a position of authority in a reputable organization and being not less than 40 years of age.

• Fellow:

Full member who have put in not less than additional 5 years after being member or 10 years in top production/ operations management level or CEOs/COOs who have had a distinguished or remarkable career and have contributed immensely to the development of the profession or the growth of the Institute.

• Corporate Member:

Corporate membership is open to reputable organizations that observe fundamentals of clean and efficient production/operations epitomized by practices which conform to International best practices and in line with Institute’s standards.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Membership benefit include receiving professional information and publications, participation in professional discussions, lectures, seminars, national workshops and training at a discount, professional networking, access to library resources, awards of professional excellence, use of professional letters (FNIPM, MNIPM, ANIPM), membership certification and observance of practice codes.

REGISTRATION

Student: N45,000, Graduate: N60,000, Affiliate: N65,000, Associate: N75,000 full member: N120,000 (multiple registration up to 4 applicants get 10% discount). This is to encourage professional group formation and branches in same location or industrial area. Registration fees cover professional examinations or exemptions fees, certification and the first annual subscription. Membership registration, certification and retention is subject to specific rules, regulations, terms, conditions and standard. Fees are subject to change without notice.

HOW TO REGISTER WITH NIPM

Obtain Membership Application Form at N15,000.00 payable to the Nigerian institute of Production Management account No. 1011701292 with zenith bank.

You can complete your registration on-line. You may pay your registration fee along with the application form fee. Only registration fee is refundable less 10% administrative charges if membership application is not approved.
