Dr. Olaniyi Opanuga is a Professor of Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain and Operations Management at the College of Production & Operations Management [COPOM] and the College of Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain and Operations Management [CMLSCOM]. He also serves as President and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Production Management [NIPM].

 

Dr Olaniyi Opanuga is a phenomenal thought leader who championed operational excellence and high standards of professionalism in production and operations management nationwide leading to the establishment of the Nigerian Institute of Production Management (NIPM) in 1987.

 

An internationally certified management consultant and Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants [IMC], Dr. Opanuga is passionate about the professional development of managers, administrators, leaders, and entrepreneurs. His working experience spans both the private and public sectors. Dr Opanuga who started his career as a factory worker in 1977 and became the CEO of Optimum Resources Ltd in 1987 was the convener and chief organizer of the first National Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) of all practitioners of production and operations management held at Lagos Sheraton Hotel in Lagos in 1989. He is a distinguished writer, researcher, publisher, entrepreneur, and a notable educational administrator, trainer, and consultant who has produced over 10,000 professionals globally.

 

With over 100 published works and 40 years of industrial and public service experience and consulting for more than 200 corporate clients-including indigenous companies, international and multinational corporations, and government departments and agencies-he brings deep practical expertise to the Certified Master Programs (CMPs)

 

Dr. Opanuga also serves as Chairman of several boards. He is a high-profile, versatile business leader with strategic oversight of multiple operations, popularly known for fostering excellent corporate governance.
