Certification of Production Supervisors and Technicians by the Nigerian Institute of Production Management (NIPM) aims to develop supervisory and technical operations capabilities of Production Technicians and Supervisors who act as first-line managers, role models and play a team leadership role with enormous responsibilities revolving around meeting production targets in terms of volume and quality of work output on a routine and daily basis.

 

Other metrics include safety, waste level, machine, and line utilization, shift/ sectional throughput performance, downtime, innovation, customer service excellence along the supply chain, etc.

NIPM Production Supervisors And Technicians’ Certification is obtainable through professional examinations involving subjects covering Production Supervision and Management, Planning and Operations Scheduling, Line Utilisation and Throughput Optimisation, Production Cost And Waste Reduction, Timeliness, Customer Value, Quality and Process Control, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), TQM, Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Management Practices, Production Supervision Ethics, Machine Set Up, Operations, Maintenance, Testing Equipment and Maintenance Reliability, Internal Logistics, Materials Handling, Materials and Flow Management etc.,Application of Management Principles To Production, Production Techniques, Productivity Improvement and Line Optimisation, Technical Reporting, Operatives Training And Evaluation, Team Accountability, MBWA, Troubleshooting Techniques, Tools of Problem Solving, Ethics of Production Supervision etc.

Certification renewable: Every 2 years.
Training Fee : #75,000 per Student/ Trainee. Fees are subject to increase.
Passing of examinations not automatic. Attendance Certificate will be issued to all Trainees on completion of the Programme but only those who pass with a minimum aggregate score of 50% will be certified.
Employers may train their staff on the subject -for- subject basis with greater depth at a fee of #40,000 per subject/ course per day.
Discount may be negotiated for In- House Training for more than 20 participants.
