Management and administration are often used interchangeably. In practice, they are used in different contexts based on the understanding of different people. However, both management and administration are chief drivers of good governance and organizational success.

The art and science of ensuring efficient, effective and sustainable utilization of resources involving the planning, organizing, controlling, coordinating and directing people with a view to achieving desired goals and objectives will generally describe both management and administration.
