Dr. Olaniyi Opanuga, President, Nigerian Institute of Production Management – NIPM has commended the efforts of the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology and its agencies while advocating for enduring collaboration with professional production and operations managers in the course of policy implementation to enhance value delivery.

 

 

Speaking at a recent workshop in Lagos Dr. Opanuga affirmed that production and operations managers are key decision makers when it comes to the sourcing, procurement, adoption, adaptation, application or industrial use of the products of science and technology. Technology inputs are part of the resources production manager transform into finished products.

Application of science and technology leading to commercialization industrialization and sustainable economic recovery requires effective partnership with all the stakeholders including the managers of production and operations in agricultural, mining, manufacturing, energy (electricity, oil and gas), construction and service industries.
