Who is Eligible to become NIPM Member?
Membership is open to aspiring and practicing production, manufacturing and operations directors and managers, academics, researchers, consultants, industrialists etc.
If you are involved, wish to pursue or advance your career in production (agricultural, mining, energy – electricity, oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, service) or operations management whether in public service or private sector you can apply for the membership of Nigerian Institute of Production Management (NIPM).
Steps to become a Member.
Membership registration process is as follows:
Step 1. Understand that Nigerian Institute of Production Management- NIPM Nigeria and associated certifications and diplomas are professional not academic. Membership is mandatory for all persons involved in the management of production and operations. For instance, manufacturing is an example or a specific type of production. Operations cut across various departments of an organization. For instance, we have financial operations, plant operations, human resources operations, engineering or maintenance operations, logistics operations, supply chain operations, transport operations, warehouse operations, project operations, quality operations, procurement operations et cetera.
Step 2. Make up your mind you want to pursue or advance a professional career which demand high standards of ethical conduct coupled with great prospects.
Step 3. Understand what your benefits as a Member are:
√ Receiving a certificate of membership which is renewable yearly through payment of annual subscription.
√ Using approved designatory letters after your name. e.g. FNIPM, MNIPM, ANIPM).
√ Receiving publications and information on global best practices.
√ Attending meetings, workshops and conferences.
√ Receiving discounts on education and training programmes, conferences etc.
√ Participating in the Institute’s decision making through voluntary and electoral processes.

√ Job Opportunity. Access to Employment Register. Individual members can their CV or Resume for possible hiring. Corporate members can source suitable candidates for recruitment purpose through NIPM Employment Register.

Step 4. Study the membership eligibility criteria below:
🔸Student Member – Minimum of OND, NTC, NCE, GCE O’Level/WAEC SSCE/NABTEB.
🔸Graduate Member – minimum position: BSc., HND or NIPM Advanced Diploma or equivalent.
🔸Affiliate Member – minimum of OND or NIPM Professional Diploma. Position: Supervisor/Team Leader.
🔸Associate Member – Bsc or HND or NIPM Advanced Professional Diploma holders with not less than 2 years in Middle – Management or 5 years in Supervisory position.
🔸Full Member – PhD, MSc, MBA, BSc or HND or NIPM Advanced Diploma/PGD or equivalent with not less than 5 years managerial or leadership experience.
🔸 Hon. Member – Persons who share the values and the high ethical ideals of the profession, supportive of Institute’s programmes and wish to identify with its activities.
🔸Fellow – Persons who have spent over 10 years in top management or leadership position, CEO/COO position or Director for not less than 5 years or General Manager for not less than 15 years in senior management
🔸Corporate Member – Operational Excellence is vital. Our Corporate Members top the charts. Reputable organizations with a track record of implementing world class operations policy, producing or manufacturing high quality products, excellent delivery of customer service or satisfactory projects, professional integrity and public accountability.
Step 5. Purchase the Membership Application Form: N15,000 and any of the following fees applicable to your sought grade of Membership:

Step 6. Pay to Nigerian Institute of Production Management Account No. 1011701292 with Zenith Bank.
Important information:
*Do not pay to any individual. The Institute has no money collecting representative, agent or staff. *Payments are not refundable or transferable except where the Institute rejects your application, less 10% administrative charges).
*Professional exam path may be prescribed.
*Mandatory continuous professional education and training is required.
*Annual subscription payment is mandatory to retain Membership.
Step 7. Submit your completed Application Form with 2 passport photographs, curriculum vitae/profile/resume and copies of your credentials.
Step 8. Expect to receive a Membership notification through your e-mail address or other means.
Step 9. As a registered Member look for a Branch to join or start a new Branch in your location.
